We’ve got some exciting news to share — Stories Unseen has been named a finalist in the 2025 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards for Business Excellence.
As the only travel tech business in the mix, it feels like a milestone not just for us, but for the role of technology in tourism. Self-guided tours have come a long way in just a few years, and we’re proud to show how digital innovation can sit alongside traditional tourism experiences to create something new for visitors and locals alike.

Why this matters
Tourism awards are about more than medals on the night. They shine a light on the many different ways people and businesses are working to connect visitors with the best of WA. For Stories Unseen, that means reimagining what a tour can be: immersive storytelling, hidden gems, and charismatic companions who live in your pocket.
Our virtual tour guides might not clock in at 9am, but they’re some of the hardest-working guides around — available 24/7, never losing their voice, and always ready to share a good story. We like to think they’ve earned their seat at the Gala table.
Looking ahead
On Saturday 8 November we’ll join fellow operators, creatives, and tourism leaders at Crown Perth for the Gala Dinner. It’s a night to celebrate an industry we love being part of, and to connect with the people who keep WA’s stories alive for visitors from around the world.
No matter what colour medal comes our way, being recognised as a finalist is a big win for our small team. It’s proof that doing things differently has a place in WA tourism.
Stay tuned — we’ll be sharing updates from the Gala (and maybe a few behind-the-scenes snaps of our guides getting red-carpet ready 😉).
